"The Club" collection takes its inspiration from ‘The 27 Club’ – famous musicians who all died coincidently aged 27. Members include Amy Winehouse, Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain, to name but a few.

"The Club" opens its doors to include other celebrities who died too soon and often in tragic circumstances, drugs and alcohol usually being a factor. Death for them has ensured that they remain in our memories. Some are only remembered because of it – Peg Entwistle, a 1930s actress and barely famous whilst alive, entered tinsel town folklore after jumping to her death from the Hollywood sign.

A tragic death was almost obligatory for celebrities like Whitney Houston, Judy Garland and Anna Nicole Smith. Their chaotic lives played out to cameras and the press but for them death is merely a chapter in their continuing biography and they live on in our minds. Many lived to the adage of burning out rather than fading away meaning we never see them grow old, staying forever young, vibrant and beautiful.
