This collection takes its inspiration from ‘The 27 Club’ – famous musicians who all died coincidently aged 27. Members of this macabre group include Amy Winehouse, Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain, to name but a few, and are all included here plus some other celebrities who tragically died too soon.

X (Pink) and X (Blue) depict the enduring icon Marilyn Monroe (1926-1962).

These works were inspired by some of the last shots of the actress by Bruce Stern whereby she had drawn ‘X’s through any photographs she rejected (although they would be subsequently published following her death).

Diana’s untimely death in the tunnels of Paris whilst chased by paparazzi represented a symbolic ending to a woman forever in the media’s spotlight.
